How long for T-3?
How long can T-3 safely be taken in light doses, say 25mcg every day?
I have heard anywhere from 8 weeks to indefinitely, as long as you taper off at the end.
Thanks for any experienced input.

Bro,
25mcg is not much. if you want a safe T3 cycle here it is:
week 1 25mcg ed
week 2 50mcg ed
week 3 75mcg ed
week 4 75mcg ed
week 5 75mcg ed
week 6 50mcg ed
week 7 25mcg ed
week 8 25mcg ed for 3 days and 12.5mcg ed for 4 days
You should also add a test to the T3 cycle! Since T3's tend to breakdown muscle.
Cheers

Thank you, England.
I have run it the way you suggested. I just wondered if it was okay to run a low dose for an extended period of time to keep the fat burning going, or if it should just be cycled like you suggested and stay off for as long as you were on.
Thanks again.

This is not an experienced answer, but, the best one I can think of. Go get your thyroid checked and if it is low, you could most likely get away with 12.5mcg every day without supressing your bodies own production.
Like I said though, that is just my logic.

Bro, you must be careful when using thyroid drugs as your thyroid could become reliant on them and you will go from wanting the T3 to having to have it. I personally would not do it for longer than 8 weeks at a time. If you are keen on burning fat perhaps you can go onto a course of clen or some other thermogenic to continue burning fat whilst you are off the T3's. As EM said go get your thyroid checked.
This too is just my logic

Thanks, MrX.
I have currently only been on the T-3 for about 5 weeks, so I should be fine for a few more weeks.

Your pretty save with 8 weeks as well. Just remember that you need to taper it off at the tail end! Also, it will take about a week before your own production is back to normal! Never, take T3 by themselfs.....it will break down muslce tissue as well!

I have hypothyroidism....
When you suppliment with T4 and or T3 you suppress the output of your thyroid... This doesn't happen quickly the thyroid is slower to respond.... So when you cycle using T3 you don't notice that your thyroid is slow to respond and you feel the energy from the supplimented T3... Now here comes the bad part... Cycling with high doses of T3 is like an overdose and the thyroid slowly responds... Let me read you part of the insert from my medication on overdoses...
*Treatment of Overdose: Dosage should be reduced or therapy temporarity discontinued if signs and symptoms of overdosage appear (Well, the sypmtoms are what you get when you do the T3 cycle)
*Treatment may be reinstituted at a lower dosage. In normal individuals, normal hypothalamic-Pituitary-Thyroid Axis function is restored in 6-8 weeks after thyroid suppression...
To those that want to do a T3 cycle, what this says is that once you suppress the thyroid during that cycle it will take 6-8weeks for it to be back to normal... So tapering for only one week isn't going to cut it ...IMO
IMO,,, Unless you are hypothyroid I wouldn't mess with your thyroid... A little boost is one thing for a little energy but high doses can do more harm than good... And T3 stays in your system for several days, so that a dose today may put you over the edge tomorrow and last for several days... And a dose that is good for one person may be completely wrong for another because everyone's metabolism is different, some may already be faster than others,, age can make a difference,,,, normally as we age we become more hypothyroid...
Oh,,, one more thing,,,, consuming high carbs while on T3 can intensify the over stimulation feelings,,,
