TRT---Aromasin---Hypothyroidism

Hello,,,, Im on TRT ... 300mg E2W... recently it aggrivated my gyno so I had some blood work done.... Unfortunately the test was taken just when the sypmtoms were subsiding on their own... but the gyno was still being affected but not as much....

Free T4 1.0 Range: .9 - 1.8

FSH <1.0 Range: 1.4 - 18.1

Luetinizing Hormone <0.3 Range: 1.5 - 9.3

Testosterone, Total 751 Range: 241 - 827

Estogens, Serum Fract
Estradiol 16 Range: 18 - 67
Estrone 37 Range: ? didn't list it

Total Estrogens 53 Range: 29 - 127

I have been taking TRT for over 3yrs..... Recently I changed from Androgel to Test E. and my dosage was increased.... just before I changed I stopped my Androgel and waited... then tested my Testosterone level and it was just under 200... Then I started the shots.... The above blood work is with the shots of Test E.....

As you can see my LH has dropped to almost nothing but never stopped.... FSH is just under normal range... Testosterone is in the High end where I want it...

Total Estrogens is my problem... Even at the High side of Test levels the Estrogens are just mid way... but even at that level the gyno was bothering me....

So what I was thinking was a little Aromasin would help,,, I don't want to drop the Test E dosage lower don't ya know.... Also even though Im at the high end of the Test scale in no way am I as horny as when I was in my late 20's so just thinking about that makes me think that SHBG is playing a big role here....

On another note:
You might notice that my TSH looks normal but I have had Hypothyroid symptoms since I was in my 20's and the symptoms have increased... I have had Chronic Fatigue and mild depression for 2yrs and just a lack of drive for anything I used to love to do like hobbies ect...Keeping the fat off of me has always been a problem... My Free T4 is on the low end of the scale... The Dr. still thinks my Thyroid is ok... But he is completely wrong... I know my body and I can tell what is going on... So I recently purchased "Armour Thyroid" it's a desicated natural porcine derived with T4 38mcg and T3 9mcg... gradually upped my dosage to 2 tablets (1Grain each... natural desicated thyroid is measured in Grains) and low and behold all my symptoms evaportated... Chronic Fatigue-Depression--were gone!... I had energy and a new drive in life like I once had... There are many symptoms of Hypothyroidism and I had quite a few and still the Dr. said I was ok... but sure enough when I took the thyroid medication ALL symptoms were gone!... Dr's would rather put you on Antidepressants that never cure you and you have lot's of unwanted sides.... The Armour Thyroid makes me feel normal!

Thyroid also has alot to do with sex drive too... so bringing up my thyroid level might also increase my sex drive and Test levels more....

Testosterone and Thyroid work synergistically together... Im sure the combo of Test + Thyroid was the magic pill I was looking for... for 2yrs

If you have Chronic Fatigue this may be what you are looking for... it works fantastic for me!... for a long time gettting out of bed was chore! Now I feel great and Im ready for my first Cycle... Im going to Cycle with Primobolan @400mg EW for 16 weeks + my usual 300mg E2W of Test E ..... I don't care about getting huge... I gain muscle easy anyway,,, I just want to get a boost back in the game with something that will build lean muscle without fat and estrogen problems... I can't wait... Im counting the days until it arrives... 4 days more... Tick Toc Tick Toc.... Thanks GenXXL!

If anyone can point me in the right direction to get the best price for Aromasin I would definately appreciate it...

I just touched on some of the symptoms of Hypothyroidism above,,, I had many more symptoms like poor memory and concentration.... that alone was driving me crazy because I usually had a great memory and concentration.... Anyway here are some more symptoms...

I think that any anti e would be able to stop your gyno at that low of a test dose. Using one as strong as aromasin may be overkill, however, if you are really in touch with your body and measure it very precisely I think it would work well.

Thanks for alll of the good info on TRT and hypothyroidism!!

Man great info on hypothyroidism......I have a lot of those symptoms and have been on antidepressants for a few years ans just started HRT over a year ago. I need to check into this some more.

As for your question, since aromasin is so expensive, I would try letro instead. I do believe it would help you and would be a good addition.

Voodoo,,,, if you have any question about the thyroid let me know and I'll try and point you in the right direction...

I believe that hypothyroidism is under diagnosed because Dr's rely on TSH score and usually don't order the Free T4/T3 test unless you ask.... Even when I asked my Dr only ordered the Free T4 test... It's possible to have enough T4 but it doesn't get converted into T3 or you have Thyroid Resistance Hormone,,, it's rare to have TRH but it happens... Also normal TSH doesn't mean it's normal for you... Sometimes when you get tested it clearly says you are hypothyroid but most people with simptoms like Chronic Fatigue test in the normal range,,, when this happens trial doses of thyroid T4/T3 combo is worth a try to see if your symptoms subside,,,

All my thyroid labs are normal.....which is why it never even crossed my mind. I was diagnosed over a year ago with hypogonadism, so I'm on test cyp injections of 100mg/wk. The injections have helped raise my test levels, but I still feel sluggish even after 8-9 hours of sleep. It also seem my mental concentration has diminished somewhat, libido is still a little low too, I also still find it hard to lose stubborn bodyfat around the mid section.....let's just say I have alot of the symptoms (see below) at one time or another....

o Fatigue o Emotional instability
o Lethargy o Dry skin
o Low endurance o Dry mucous membranes o Fineness of hair
o Constipation o Hair loss
o Slow thinking o Weight gain unexplainably
o Poor memory o Paleness of lips o Dry, thick, scaling skin
o Poor concentration o Shortness of breath o Dry, coarse, brittle hair
o Depression o Paleness of skin
o Nervousness o Puffy skin
o Anxiety o Puffy eyelids
o Worrying o Easy emotional upset o Coarse skin
o Obsessive thinking o Brittle or thin nails
o Low motivation o Low sex drive o Dry ridges down nails
o Dizziness o Impotence
o Hearing loss o Weakness
o Cold skin o Rapid heart rate o Vague body aches & pains
o Pounding heart beat o Muscle pain
o Heat intolerance o Slow pulse rate o Joint pain
o Non-restful sleep o Pain at front of chest o Numbness or tingling
o Insomnia o Poor vision o Thick tongue o Weight loss

What would you recommend as a "suppliment" and dosage to try, T3 @ 20mcg?

Hey Voodoo,,, when you said your thyroid tested normal.... did they do a Free T4/T3 test or just the TSH?

Anyway a trial run of thyroid medication to see if it helps you certainly won't hurt as long as you slowly increase the dosage a week at a time until your sypmtoms either go away or you become hyperthyroid where you are over stimulated... If you feel hyperthyroid then reduce the meds until you feel good again...

I would recommend a desicated thyroid medication which is a natural porcine derived thyroid that contains both T4/T3... the ratios are 38mgT4/9mgT3---This is called "ONE GRAIN"...

A name brand is "Armour Thyroid""One Grain"...100/$35... you can find many places that will sell it on the web with no prescription... Or you can buy the generic brand which I do for only 100/$9 and they are equal to 2 grains... So the generic you get twice as much for only $9.... If you go the generic route then buy the 2 grain pills and use a pill splitter to split them in half.... Take 1/2 pill everyday (empty stomach) for the first week...Then every week increase by 1/4pill until you feel normal... anytime you feel you are over stimulated you should cut back... you shouldn't feel stimulated... you should just feel normal... Thyroid medication takes a while to really kick in so it will take about 3 weeks before you notice a huge difference... but if it were your thyroid that really was the problem... once you hit the right dosage it will be like a miracle,,, still it takes a few weeks so give it some time...

One thing to watch when taking thyroid meds is once you reach your ideal dose and you feel normal you will be more sensitive to carbohydrates... So you may feel more of a rush when you eat high sugars and then feel over stimulated... In a way this is good cause your body is telling you that you are eating too much sugar...

Give this at least 5 weeks before you decide it's not working for you,,, remember it takes time to kick in,,, if it doesn't work then taper back off for about 8 weeks ...

Week one----1/2 pill a day
Week two-----3/4 pill a day
and so on until you feel normal,,, if you feel over stimulated then cut back a little at a time...

Hope this works for you... it has done wonders for me...

I will PM you with a link where I buy mine... I don't want to post it here out of respect for GenXXL since they sell Cytomel.... even though that's not what I recommend...

The thyroid meds has definately increased my sex drive too...

Thyroid therapy is a life long commitment...

I'm pretty sure he did both tests, but this was done over a year ago when they found out I had hypogonadism.....so I'm not entirely sure that both tests were done. I'll have to check with my doc.
