There is a fella at my gym, he is a power lifter. He can bench 460 raw and when he puts on his bench shirt he can press 575lbs. He says you have to get used to each "shirt" they all have thier "groove" points.

Bench shirt are amatter of preference. I used to compete in em and decided that the poundages were getting to high and dangerous to trust my life on a shirt. To each their own.

I have benched 535 raw and in my old DD(years back) when I wore a shirt I have done over 600pounds and I was only raw benching around 450 pounds.

This can be done quite easily with scientific approach that shirt makers have given the lifters. No dissrespect to Scott mendelson but he did over 1000 in a shirt and holds the WR raw at 715, do the math.

I just feel it is too dangerous to be under weight you cannot battle if the equipment fails.. I know I know that is why their are spotters right? I straight up missed a lift years back, not outta the groove just couldn't lock it out and the spotter couldn't hold the weight and dropped it on me, i was ina shirt so i was stuck and couldn't get away from the weight. that haunted me for along time and I trust myself not a spotter..

respect
Tiny
