I did some research on this herb a while back.
It is nearly impossible to find the good stuff, but there is a site somewhere that sells quality Tongkat Ali.
I wouldn't bother getting any from American stores.
Always check the place of origin. Don't buy any herbs from Malaysia. They are contaminated with lead that's about 250X the "safe" limit.
And if your looking around for some at an online store, some of them don't let you see the back of the label to check for the place of origin. Don't buy those either.
Malasia is a rapidly industrialing country with no environmental protection laws, similar to the way the US was around 1900.
They just let the lead and other contaminates get pumped into the enviroment and pioson the crops.

As a disclaimer here, I haven't bought anything from that site myself, so in all fairness, I can't vouch for the product. But from the research I've done, this place looks like the best.
