Herbs to reduce cancer risk?
Does anyone know of a supplement or herb that systemically reduces cancer risk?

Because we do not know when we will die, we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well, and yet everything happens only a certain number of times ... How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood ... that is so deeply a part of your being that you can't even conceive of your life without it? Perhaps 4 or 5 times more. Perhaps not even. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps 20. And yet it all seems limitless.

what kinds of cancer? i think there are different things you can do for different types of cancer. for instance just pound some psyllium every so often to stay regular to prevent colon cancer. i believe whole healthy foods are the way to go. if we didnt have so many preservatives and unhealthy fats we would be alot better off. not that im the healthiest eater.
but if you really wanna get a grip on things get alot of fruits and veggies thats a good start. check out www.juiceplus.com or google it. that is an amazing product

thanks doublewide, I was speaking in general terms. I had chemotherapy when I was 14 and the chemo they gave me gives you a 65% or so higher chance of developing some sort of malignant cancer by age 30-35 or so, and I was just looking to reduce that risk somewhat, not that Ive not come to terms with that ive fully acepted it im just trying to be slightly more proactive than I have been in recent years.

bigtattoo props to you for being proactive man. i think so many of the cancers that have developed over the past 100 years or so have been so because of technology. whether it be radiation, or what we put in our food, or the new types of food we eat its just not what our bodies are used to and it just reacts poorly.
try and stick to whole healthy foods bro, and keep up with your health lifestyle, no smoking, cardio etc... im not to up to date on herbs and all that but see if there is a natural medicinal doctor in your area or herbalist. thats the wave of the future i think in health. good luck bro.

thanks man i looked one up yesterday. And I totally agree with you about that we as a society have caused many of our problems via the types of tech we have decided to use. My dad used to tell me a story about a friend of his who went to vietnam was exposed to something called agent orange, the friend ended up ok but it mutated something in his genes and his son came out a schizophrenic. its my belief that so much of our societal problems are caused by what we've either pumped into our environment or what we pump into ourselves.

i try not to have tomany refined sugar like pop's. also i dont eat ANY meat or fish so that probibly helps with stuff they add nowadays.
green tea, extra VitaminC,lots of water, ginsing, cinnamon, decent amount of fiber, ALA, apple cider vinegar "2-3tbs ed" i feel those help keep healthy.
of course i also take my multiV,bcomplex and i DO take fish oil even thow i dont eat fish for the health benifets i cant help avoid the facts about.

yea i do allot of that stuff but im fairly carnivorous so no meat is no where near an option im willing to entertain. Are you a vegetarian? i drink tons of green tea and the like and stopped eating refined sugar years ago, it sucks because the chemo they gave me really does increase my likelihood for developing some sort of cancer so im just sorta trying to be as proactive as possible while still bracing myself for the inevitable.
